Humanity AI Open Call for Community-Led Projects
The Humanity AI Open Call for Community-Led Projects supports community-led efforts that give communities greater influence over how artificial intelligence is built, governed and used. Projects should focus on education, labor and the economy, or humanities, arts and culture, with an emphasis on initiatives shaped and led by affected communities. The opportunity is open to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations, with priority given to open-source or open-weight AI models when AI models are central to the proposed project.
Humanity AI is offering a total of $10 million in grant funding through this open call.

Geosciences Core Research: Atmospheric, Geospace, Earth and Ocean Sciences (GEO Core) – NSF 26-516
The National Science Foundation’s GEO Core program supports foundational and transformative research across atmospheric and geospace sciences, Earth sciences and ocean sciences. Funding is available for disciplinary and interdisciplinary projects that advance fundamental understanding of Earth, atmospheric, ocean and geospace systems.
NSF anticipates approximately 200 to 350 awards from an estimated $110 million in total program funding. Individual award amounts vary based on the scope and needs of the proposed research.
Project periods vary depending on the scope of the proposed project. Proposals for this grant funding will be accepted at any time.

Research in Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) – National Science Foundation
The NSF Research in Undergraduate Institutions (RUI) opportunity supports research by faculty at predominantly undergraduate institutions while strengthening the institution’s research capacity and integrating research and undergraduate education.
Faculty may submit an RUI proposal to participating NSF research programs in their discipline, making this relevant across a broad range of UT Martin science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) areas. Undergraduate students can be directly involved in faculty research supported through the project.
Award amounts vary based on the NSF program to which the RUI proposal is submitted. Cost sharing is not required.
Project periods vary according to the NSF program and scope of the proposed research.
Proposals for this funding are accepted at any time, subject to the deadline requirements of the specific NSF program receiving the RUI proposal.

• The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs also provides funding for internal awards designed to assist UT Martin faculty with development activities. The Faculty Development Grant Program provides three rounds of funding annually for regular, full-time faculty.
Proposals should be a maximum length of three pages, double-spaced with 1-inch margins and a minimum font soze of 11 point. Proposals that do not meet these standards will not be reviewed.
Faculty members are limited to receiving only one faculty development grant per year to ensure equitable distribution of funding resources allowing a greater number of faculty members the opportunity to benefit from professional development support. The committee seeks to promote broad participation and enhance the overall impact of the grant program across the institution.
All applications must include every required component, including the applicant’s CV, within the submitted packet to be eligible for committee review.
