The complex, home to the equestrian and rodeo teams, is located on Moody Street and is named for Tennessee Gov. Ned Ray McWherter of Dresden. He was the state’s 46th governor and served from 1987 to 1995. Complex components are:
• The West Tennessee Agricultural Pavilion built in 1984;
• The N.W. “Doc” Robinson Arena, named for the late professor of animal science and longtime rodeo adviser;
• The Wooten Academic Complex, which memorializes the son of the late rodeo supporters John and Mary Wooten; and
• The Stalling Facility built in 1988.
Robinson, John Wooten and Mary Wooten are all members of the UT Martin Rodeo Hall of Fame.
