Jaida Fann, a junior chemistry and physics major from Dickson, was named the 2027 Miss UT Martin Volunteer, and Komori Brooks, a senior mass media and strategic communication major from Memphis, was named the 2027 Miss Weakley County Volunteer at the 68th annual pageant held Sept. 20 in Phillip Watkins Auditorium in the Boling University Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
As Miss UT Martin Volunteer and Miss Weakley County Volunteer, respectively, Fann and Brooks qualify for the Miss Tennessee Volunteer Pageant, to be held in July in the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.
Karenna Rainey, the current Miss Tennessee Volunteer and a 2024 UT Martin alumna, was on hand to congratulate the winners.
Cairo Draper, a senior political science and global studies major from Pleasant View, Utah, was the first runner-up in the Miss UT Martin Volunteer Pageant, and Makayla Green, a freshman criminal justice major from Clarksville, was the first runner-up for Miss Weakley County Volunteer.
Fann also received the People’s Choice Award, which is voted on by audience members.
Chloe Goff, a senior health and human performance major from Bradford and the 2026 Miss UT Martin Volunteer, crowned Fann at the conclusion of the pageant. Kiala Hampton, a senior veterinary science and technology major from Memphis and the 2026 Miss Weakley County Volunteer, crowned Brooks.
