Local AAUW members attend state meeting

Members of the Martin Branch of the American Association of University Women who are UT Martin retirees and former and current faculty and staff attended the state meeting of the Tennessee AAUW May 30 in the Convocation Hall at the University of the South. Shown in the photo are (l-r) Dr. Marti Herndon and Dr. Sue Byrd, who both retired from UT Martin; Dr. Harriette L. Spiegel, lecturer in educational studies; Dr. Amy Richards, associate professor and director of the didactic program in dietetics; and Georgia Baskett, retired from the Paul Meek Library. The featured speaker at the state meeting was Dr. Sherry Hamby, distinguished research professor of psychology at the University of the South, who spoke about resiliency and recovery.
