Janie Crews Jones honored at retirement reception

Janie Crews Jones was honored May 13 with a retirement reception at the Paul Meek Library, where she worked during her tenure at UT Martin.

Crews Jones has worked a total of 48 years in higher education, first with UT Martin, then with Georgia Tech and once again at UT Martin.

In her second turn at UT Martin, she worked in the Paul Meek Library, coordinating the print reserves collection, where she worked directly with dozens of faculty members to make textbooks and other instructional materials available to students. As a part of the public services department, she assisted with interlibrary loans and book circulation. Her work has supported thousands of students, teaching faculty, co-workers, student assistants and community patrons.
