Students entering the University of Tennessee at Martin this fall should register for the annual Summer Orientation And Registration, or SOAR. SOAR registration is required for first-year students and those attending the university for the first time.
With seven in-person sessions and one virtual session, SOAR provides opportunities for students and parents to learn more about the university in preparation for the fall 2026 semester.
Registration for the SOAR sessions has been open since Feb. 1, and the opening session, scheduled for Monday, May 18, is already full, so first-time students accepted by UT Martin should register for the date of their choice as soon as possible.
Dates for this year’s remaining SOAR sessions are:
• Tuesday, May 19
• Friday, June 5
• Thursday, June 18
• Tuesday, June 23 (virtual)
• Friday, July 10
• Friday, July 24
• Friday, Aug. 7
To register for a SOAR session, students should log in to their MyUTMartin portal, select “SOAR Registration” under the admissions checklist and complete the form. Registered students will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.
In-person SOAR sessions will begin with a check-in and information fair at the Boling University Center (11 Wayne Fisher Drive) from 8 to 8:45 a.m. The rest of the in-person sessions’ student schedule includes:
