The 11th annual “I Heart UTM” Week is scheduled for April 7-11 to celebrate Skyhawk pride and community support. The event, hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin Alumni along with the Student Alumni Council, Flight Crew and several other campus and student organizations, will have many events for students, faculty, staff and alumni.
The remainder of the week’s schedule is full of fun activities for the community, students and alumni.
Wednesday, April 9
• Senior Drive-Thru, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Dunagan Alumni Center. Spring 2025 and fall 2025 graduates can go to the alumni center for UTM swag, an Orange Crush and a blueberry muffin.
• Dog Days, 4-6 p.m., The Quad/North Patio of Boling University Center. Students, faculty and staff are invited to bring their dogs to get them some UTM swag; free hot dogs and drinks will be available.
• Consent Bingo, 6 p.m., Care Corner, second floor, Boling University Center. Part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Thursday, April 10
• Petting Zoo, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., The Quad. Student Alumni Council is hosting a petting zoo for students with animals like bunnies, kangaroos, sheep and much more.
• Chilling in the Quad, noon-1 p.m., The Quad. Students are invited to gather in the quad and get a popsicle.
• Fitness with the First Lady, 5 p.m., UTM Student Recreation Center. Rafielle Freeman, wife of Chancellor Yancy Freeman, is hosting a workout session; by registration only (no walk-ups).
• Flight Crew Spring Concert, 6:30 p.m., Skyhawk Fieldhouse. Big Boogie is visiting UT Martin; doors open at 6:30 p.m. UTM students and alumni only. Register via alumni.utm.edu/iheartutm.
• UTM Flight Crew Spring Concert, 6:30 p.m. This event is for students only; an event pass is required.
• Dance ensemble, “Generations,” 7 p.m., Harriet Fulton Performing Arts Theatre, Fine Arts Building. Admission: $15 for adults, $10 for students. Children 10 and under admitted free.
Friday, April 11
• Registration Celebration, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North UC Patio, Boling University Center. Students can get their questions about registration answered and can show their schedule for the fall semester to receive a prize.
• Be a Healthy U(TM), 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North UC Patio. This is a Student Health and Counseling wellness fair.
• Care Team Cookout, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North UC Patio. The Care Team is providing free hamburgers, chips and drinks.
• I Heart UTM T-Shirt Giveaway, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North UC Patio. Bring four items to the Student Alumni Council table to be donated to the Captain’s Pantry to receive a free T-shirt. Suggested food items are listed at alumni.utm.edu/iheartutm under the Schedule of Events for Monday, April 7.
• UTM baseball vs. Western Illinois, 5 p.m., Skyhawk Baseball Field.
• Glow Pickle Ball, 7 p.m., Skyhawk Tennis Complex. DJ will be available; sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Campus Rec.

• UTM baseball vs. Western Illinois, 1 p.m., Skyhawk Baseball Field.
Sunday, April 13
• UTM Sunday Brunch, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Skyhawk Dining Hall.
• UTM softball vs Tennessee Tech, noon, Bettye Giles Softball Field.
• UTM softball vs. Tennessee Tech, 2:30 p.m., Bettye Giles Softball Field.
• UTM baseball vs. Western Illinois, 1 p.m., Skyhawk Baseball Field.
Weeklong events
• Stock Captain’s Closet, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, Dunagan Alumni Center. Donate gently used, nearly new professional attire to stock the Career Planning and Development’s Captain’s Closet.
• Chalk the Quad. Organizations, students and departments on campus are encouraged to create a chalk art masterpiece. The theme will be “UTM Spirit.” Voting on the best artwork will be open through noon Friday, April 11. The winner will be announced Friday afternoon.• Show your Skyhawk Spirit. Send in pictures of you wearing UTM apparel or your “I Heart UTM” shirt throughout the week for a chance to be featured as a favorite at the end of the week on the UTM Alumni Facebook or Instagram.
