The annual Honors Day program recognizes students who have made outstanding achievements in scholarship and citizenship. Awards are also made to the outstanding teachers and advisor of the academic year.

A Memphis native, Glenn is the regional executive director of Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence (LEAD) Inc. for the region including Tennessee, Mississippi and Ohio.

He has dedicated his career to law enforcement, earning several accolades and commendations for his service. In 2022, he was recognized as the LEAD National Instructor of the Year and the LEAD Tennessee State Instructor of the Year. His efforts have enhanced the effectiveness of the LEAD curriculum, empowering students to make informed decisions and avoid harmful substances.

Throughout his career, Glenn has demonstrated leadership, innovation and education in the prevention field. Since 2008, he has held the position of team chaplain for the UT Martin football program.

He has maintained a strong commitment to the university and has served as a member of the University of Tennessee Alumni Legislative Council and University of Tennessee Alumni Board of Governors.

As a student at UT Martin, Glenn met his wife of 22 years, the former Tymikia Gunn, a member of the UT Martin Athletic Hall of Fame. They have three sons, Terrick, Nathanael and Jonathan, and reside in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

The first UT Martin Honors Day program was held March 14, 1964. Originally held during the week, the program was moved to a Sunday in 1970. The program has grown from fewer than 20 awards to more than 50 awards and 25 college and academic honors.
