The University of Tennessee at Martin will host the 103rd annual Tennessee 4-H Roundup, a capstone experience for high school 4-H members that recognizes achievement and inspire future growth.
The event will be held July 20-23, and participants will present their project work through portfolios and interviews, scholarships will be awarded, state 4-H officers will be elected, and the prestigious Vol State honor – the highest honor a Tennessee 4-H member can receive – will be presented.
“There is nothing quite like Tennessee 4-H Roundup,” said Jamie Harris, state 4-H program leader. “The energy, enthusiasm and excitement on campus are contagious as more than 300 of Tennessee’s best and brightest 4-H members come together to celebrate their accomplishments and invest in their future.
“Roundup is where young people discover their potential, strengthen their leadership and realize they can make a lasting impact on their communities, our state and beyond. It truly represents the very best of what Tennessee 4-H has to offer.”
Participants will come to the UT Martin campus on Monday, July 20, to register and set up All Star Exhibits. The opening assembly will be held in the afternoon, followed by regional meetings and elections.
The Project Achievement competition begins Tuesday, July 21, followed by educational sessions, the All Star assembly, All Star ceremony and campfire.
The senior breakfast opens activities Wednesday, July 22, followed by a general assembly, career fair, group photo, awards banquet and a dance.
Scholarships and awards will be presented in a general assembly Thursday, July 23, followed by a vote for state council president. The Vol State ceremony and installation of 2026-27 state council members are also part of the final meeting day.
More than 150,000 Tennessee students in grades 4 through 12 take part in 4-H clubs and activities.
The site of the state roundup alternates between UT Martin and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, each year. About 300 students attend the Tennessee 4-H Roundup annually. This year’s 4-H National Conference will take place Nov. 28-Dec. 1 in Atlanta.
