The University of Tennessee at Martin’s WestStar Leadership Program will host the 21st-annual Working Women’s Conference from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Feb. 15, in the Boling University Center’s Duncan Ballroom on the UT Martin campus. The deadline to register is Feb. 11, and the $40 registration fee includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
The theme of this year’s conference is “A League of Our Own” and features session topics such as “Team Roster: Who’s on Your Team?” and “Conquering the Fear of Striking Out.” Joan Cronan, women’s athletic director emeritus for the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and author of “Sport is Life with the Volume Turned Up: Lessons Learned That Apply to Business and Life,” will give the keynote address. Dee Henderson, executive director for Institutional Advancement at Jackson State Community College, will serve as conference emcee.
Additional conference speakers include Jamie Worrell, client manager for Center Point Business Solutions, LLC; James Dusenberry, commercial banking leader of Tennessee-Kentucky markets for Regions Bank; Lin Dunn, special assistant to the head coach for the University of Kentucky women’s basketball team; Jodie Parrish, broker and owner of RE/MAX Realty Source; Kristen Doyle White, owner of Atlas Fitness Jackson and CrossFit 731; Gladys Warren, CHOICES Program coordinator for the Southwest Tennessee Development District; Dr. Teresa Collard, UT Martin associate professor of communications; and Dr. Lisa LeBleu, UT Martin professor of family and consumer sciences.
