The Baptist Collegiate Ministry at UT Martin sponsored the national prayer event “See You at the Pole” the morning of Sept. 23 in front of the Hall-Moody Administration Building. BCM students led the program that included music, prayer and scripture readings. See You at the Pole is a global movement of prayer which is student-initiated, student-organized and student-led. It revolves around students praying together on the fourth Wednesday in September, usually before school and usually at the school’s flag pole. It involves students in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and colleges and universities across the globe. The annual gathering began in April 1990 in Burleson, Texas, and grew to become a national and international event a few years later.
