UT Martin SOAR sessions continue throughout summer

Students entering the University of Tennessee at Martin this fall who have not attended the Summer Orientation And Registration (SOAR) have five more opportunities to do so this summer.

SOAR registration is required for first-year students and those attending the university for the first time. It provides those students an opportunity to tour the campus, speak with their instructors and advisers and register for classes for the fall 2026 semester.

During SOAR sessions, participants can also meet other first-time students and current student leaders.

The upcoming SOAR June 5 session is full, but there are five sessions remaining, including a virtual session June 23.

Dates for the remaining SOAR sessions are:

• Thursday, June 18

• Tuesday, June 23 (virtual)

• Friday, July 10

• Friday, July 24

• Friday, Aug. 7

To register for a SOAR session, students should log in to their MyUTMartin portal, select “SOAR Registration” under the admissions checklist and complete the form. Registered students will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours.

In-person SOAR sessions will begin with a check-in and information fair at the Boling University Center (11 Wayne Fisher Drive) from 8 to 8:45 a.m. Students will attend programs to help them acclimate to college life, while their parents will attend other informational programs to help them adapt to life as a college parent.

Those opting for the virtual SOAR session June 23 will begin at 9 a.m. with a welcome and Ready for Takeoff program. They will then have a question-and-answer session and meet with their success counselor.
