“Keeping the Beat hosted by TNMEA” concludes after airing 62 programs

“Keeping the Beat hosted by TNMEA,” an online educational music series sponsored by the CMA Foundation, the Tennessee Music Education Association and the University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music, ended July 16 after livestreaming 62 interactive lessons over four months.

The program was created to engage students and artists during the COVID-19 pandemic and was an expansion of the UT Martin music department program “Corona Connection.”

Keeping the Beat reached 1.7 million people in 45 different countries and attained almost 5,700 viewing hours.

The educational web series featured prominent guest artists such as Joan Jett, Kenny Laguna, Glen Kotche, Lindsay Ell, Keith Paluso, Tim Ries and more, which have all been archived on the “Keeping the Beat hosted by TNMEA” YouTube and Facebook pages for later viewing.
