Dr. Chan Mi Jean, assistant professor of piano and director of keyboard studies, held a faculty recital Sept. 3 at the Bill and Roberta Blankenship Recital Hall in Room 112 Fine Arts Building.
Jean performed “Lyric Pieces, Opus 43” by Edvard Grieg; “Piano Sonata No. 2 in G-sharp Minor, Opus 19” by Alexander Scriabin; “Concert Etudes Nos. 1 and 7” by Nikolai Kapustin; and “La Valse” by Maurice Ravel.
Dr. Roberto Mancusi, professor of music (voice), will also hold a faculty recital, “…in a land far, far away…”, to be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, in the Blankenship Recital Hall. His recital will feature the music of Franz J. Haydn, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Alan Menken, Randy Newman and Sir Elton John.
