Patty Flowers (left), assessment coordinator at UT Martin, is pictured with Dr. Stephanie Kolitch, associate provost and director of accreditation, at the celebration of Flowers’ retirement. Flowers began working at UT Martin in fall 2001, starting at the Center of Excellence for Science and Mathematics Education. When the center closed, she became a research associate in the UT Martin Office of Research, Grants, and Contracts, before moving into the position of institutional assessment coordinator. Outside of UT Martin, Flowers has also been involved with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and the Tennessee Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Leadership Council. She has also served as an assessment consultant for several other institutions. After over 25 years with UT Martin, Flowers celebrated her retirement June 26.
