UT Board of Trustees to meet June 30

The annual meeting of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will take place at 11 a.m. CT, Tuesday, June 30, in the Gault Art Gallery on the UT Southern campus in Pulaski.

A series of committee meetings leads up to the board meeting. The Finance and Administration Committee and the Audit and Compliance Committee met June 29, with an executive, nonpublic meeting of the Audit and Compliance Committee immediately following.

On June 30, the day opens with an Education, Research and Service Committee meeting at 8 a.m., followed by campus updates and student success outcomes meeting in the recital hall of the Gault Fine Arts Center at 9:45 a.m.

Items of interest to UT Martin include the approval of the naming of the Business Administration Building, which was discussed in the Finance and Administration Committee meeting June 29 and submitted to the consent agenda for the UT Board of Trustees meeting for board approval.

According to reports provided at the UT Martin Avisory Board meeting May 15, the new Business Administration Building is scheduled to be open in 2029 and located along Lovelace Avenue. Demolition for the current Business Administration Building is tentatively scheduled for November, with construction tentatively set to last through the spring of 2029.

The UT Board of Trustees will have an executive committee meeting Sept. 18 and its fall meeting Oct. 15-16 at UT Knoxville.
