UT Martin students serve as counselors

The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Sciences, which takes place from May 31 through June 26, is hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin and offers rising high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to gain experience in a collegiate environment, familiarity with technology in their field and three hours of college credit in agriculture and natural resources courses. Six UT Martin students volunteered as counselors for the program, including (l-r) Samuel Knight of Cottontown; Rylin Carlson of Clarksville; Abigail Hayes of Martin; Tes Smith of Burns; Kaylan Morton of Jackson; and Rudy Sleigh of Woodlawn. The Tennessee Governor’s School for the Agricultural Scences began at UT Martin in 2004 and is marking its 23rd year.
