UTM to host Fall Preview Day on Oct. 4

The University of Tennessee at Martin will welcome high school students and others interested in attending the university to campus Oct. 4 for the first of its two Fall Preview Days.

Preview Day is a one-day experience where those who are interested in UT Martin can learn more about the campus culture, meet students and professors in their academic area of interest, tour campus and connect with current students who are part of clubs and organizations across campus.

“We also conduct a student panel and answer many of the common questions about student life, admissions, financial aid, housing and so on,” said Mykaela Waterfield, director of enrollment communications and operations. “It is most common for sophomores, juniors and seniors in high school and prospective transfer students and their families to attend Preview Days. However, we welcome anyone who is interested in UT Martin.”

UT Martin will have its second Fall Preview Day of the semester Saturday, Nov. 1.

Those attending Preview Day are asked to pre-register at www.utm.edu/previewday

The day begins with registration, brunch and an information fair, followed by an admissions overview and the student panel Q-and-A. Participants then take part in academic department visits, followed by breakout sessions, campus tours and housing tours.

UT Martin also provides twice-daily campus tours offered at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During a regular campus tour, students experience the UT Martin campus, meet current students and have the opportunity to meet with a faculty member.

Students can register for a campus tour at www.utm.edu/tour.
