The University of Tennessee at Martin has named Braxton Robinson as the recipient of the spring 2025 Beth Maloan Outstanding Student Employee award for his impressive job performance and dedication to the university.
Robinson is a senior psychology major from Jackson who works in the Division of Access and Engagement. He has worked with this office for three years while completing his bachelor’s degree. His responsibilities include assisting with Retention Impact Student-Success Engagement (RISE) initiatives, providing customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders, and much more.
“When Braxton first joined our team as a freshman, he was quiet and observant, diligently learning the ropes and taking in his new environment. Over the years, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation,” said Dr. Mark McCloud, vice chancellor for the Division of Access and Engagement. “He grew into a confident and capable leader, embracing responsibilities with enthusiasm and a deep commitment to serving others.”
The Beth Maloan Outstanding Student Employee Award is named for the late Beth Maloan, a longtime UT Martin director of budgeting and payroll, who was a strong advocate of student employment. The award recognizes exemplary work ethic and commitment to the university. This award, which consists of a plaque and $1,000 check, is given each semester to a student nominated by his or her supervising office or department.
