The UT Martin WestStar Leadership Program Class of 2025 will hold its opening retreat and orientation session this Thursday and Friday, Jan. 30-31, in Martin.
The 35-member class, the 35th in the program’s history, will meet at 8 a.m. in the university’s Skyhawk Fieldhouse and continue the two-day program at several locations around the main campus and in Martin before concluding at 2 p.m. Friday.
The session will explore individual leadership styles and personalities through different speakers and presentations. Class members from Weakley County are Erica Bell, Dr. Keith Dooley, Dr. Mary Giles, Lindee McCurley and Alisha Melton, all representing UT Martin, and Terry McDade, Weakley County sheriff.
WestStar is the premier regional leadership program in Tennessee offering leadership-development opportunities for individuals who seek to collaborate, lead and serve to bring about positive change in West Tennessee.
