Fifteen students from the University of Tennessee at Martin Somerville Center graduated May 7. Information about the center graduates was reported by Kara Tapp, director of the UT Martin Somerville Center. Out of these 15 students, eight graduated with honors.
Drew Cohn, of Eads, and Lauren Rowell, of Arlington, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business. McKenzie Tatum, of Oakland, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Julie Russell, of Oakland, and Keith Milburn, of Atoka graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Katherine Anderson, of Williston; Laura Johnson, of Somerville; Kelsey Moore, of Middleton; and Rachel Prezioso, of Oakland, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Dillan Meggo, of Oakland; Raymond DeLancellotti, of Eads; Daria Letcher, of Memphis; Tekedrion Perry, of Somerville; and Brandon Treadway, of Somerville graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies.
“Commencement is always a bittersweet time,” said Tapp. “I know that each and every single one of them has a very bright future ahead.”
“The UTM Somerville Center has been a pleasure to attend,” said Anderson. “When you attend here you flourish and feel like the staff truly cares for the students and their learning. I will greatly miss going to the center for classes and seeing the staff, but I appreciate the guidance they have given me while here.”
“If I would’ve known about the UT Martin Somerville Center sooner, I would’ve done my full four years here. The classmates become brothers and sisters, and the faculty become more than just mentors,” said Cohn.
The UT Martin Somerville Center opened Aug. 28, 2017, and offers 10 different degree programs and courses that supplement more than 80 specialized degree programs. The center also provides medical certificate programs and career training.
