What do you get when your homecoming game falls on Halloween? An even more fun celebration! Students, alumni, faculty and staff saw a bit more pumpkin orange than blue this year. UT Martin cheerleaders are shown in the above photo in the quad taking part in the traditional Skyhawk Walk, which features members of the football team, the dance team and the Aviators Marching Band as well as other guests, including (below photo) Chancellor Yancy Freeman Sr. waving to the crowd while riding with Robert L. “Bob” Carroll, who received the Chancellor’s Award for University Service. Other Alumni Award winners also took part in the parade.
Even the Skyhawks-in-waiting enjoyed the day, as participants provided candy during “Tent or Treat” to the youngsters (and older youngsters) who came in costume.
