The first of two Spring Preview Days for the spring 2026 semester will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin.
Preview Days enable potential students and their families to learn more about the university by getting information about academic programs, financial aid, scholarships, housing and student life. The second Spring Preview Day for the semester will be held Saturday, April 25.
To register to take part in Spring Preview Days, visit www.utm.edu/visit-ut-martin/preview-days.php, click on the date that you would like to attend and complete the information form.
The day begins at 10 a.m. at the Boling University Center with a registration period, brunch and information fair. A welcome and admissions overview is held at 11 a.m., and a panel of current UT Martin students answers questions at 11:30 a.m.
Participants will visit the academic department of their interest at noon, and a breakout session featuring housing tours, campus tours and more will take place from 1 to 3 p.m.
Spring Preview Days are coordinated through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, which also organizes campus tours at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Once students have been accepted to UT Martin, they take part in the Summer Orientation And Registration (SOAR) events held throughout the summer. Registration for these events is now open.
During the SOAR sessions, first-year students will have a chance to become acquainted with UT Martin’s campus culture, learn about curriculum and campus resources, and register for classes. Students will also have the chance to meet faculty, advisers and other new students.
The in-person SOAR sessions will take place on Monday, May 18; Tuesday, May 19; Friday, June 5; Thursday, June 18; Friday, July 10; Friday, July 24; and Friday, Aug. 7.
There will also be one virtual SOAR session available, which will take place Tuesday, June 23, over Zoom and other online platforms.
To register for SOAR, first-year students should visit their My UTMartin portal and select “SOAR Registration” under the admissions checklist.
The cost of registration for SOAR is $65 for students and $35 for parents, guardians or siblings to attend. The registration fee for parents, guardians or siblings is only required to attend the in-person sessions. Parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to attend SOAR with their student to gather information. A schedule of events for parents is included in each in-person SOAR session.
For more information about SOAR, visit www.utm.edu/SOAR. Students can reach out to their admissions counselor or contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at admissions@utm.edu or by calling 731-881-7020.
