Registration now open for UTM WestStar Elevate program

Registration for the University of Tennessee at Martin’s WestStar Elevate: A Summit for Growth and Leadership program presented by PATH Company is now open through Friday, Jan. 23.

The theme of the summit is “For the Love of Leadership and Community.”

The WestStar Elevate Summit – formerly called the WestStar Working Women’s Conference – is a part of the WestStar Leadership Program marking its 28th annual event. It will be held Friday, Feb. 6, in the Boling University Center at UT Martin. The summit is dedicated to empowering, inspiring and equipping professionals across West Tennessee to thrive in their careers and communities.

The emcees for this year’s summit are Dr. Brock Martin and Dr. Krista Martin, the owners of Southern Chiropractic and Acupuncture in Huntingdon. The scheduled keynote speaker is Dave Bratcher, senior vice president of West Tennessee for YMCA and a 2012 graduate of the WestStar Leadership Program.

Participants will take part in two breakout sessions and choose from the topics of AI in the Workplace, Generational Leadership, Stress Management Tactics, and Servant Leadership.

Following the lunch break, a WestStar alumni panel will discuss a number of topics. The panel consists of moderator Chad Davis, owner and president of Davis Wealth Services and a 2014 WestStar graduate; Dr. Brock Martin, a Tennessee state representative and a 2016 WestStar graduate; U.S. District Judge Mark Norris of the Western District of Tennessee, a 1999 WestStar graduate; Dr. Jackie Johnson, UT Martin assistant vice chancellor of alumni relations and annual giving and a 2012 WestStar graduate; and Civil Watkins, an educator in Fayette County and a 2019 WestStar graduate.

Registration for the program is $50 through Friday, Jan. 16, and $75 through Jan. 23 or until the program reaches maximum capacity. Participants may register online through www.utm.edu/weststar, clicking on “Conferences and Events” and clicking on the “WestStar Elevate” tab.
