The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will hold its winter meetings Feb. 27-28 in the Russell Duncan Ballroom, Boling University Center, located on the University of Tennessee at Martin campus (11 Wayne Fisher Drive, Martin).
Meetings are scheduled as follows:
- Thursday, Feb. 27
- 1:30 p.m. CST – Education, Research and Service Committee
- 3:15 p.m. CST – Audit and Compliance Committee (public session))
- 4:15 p.m. CST – Audit and Compliance Committee (non-public, executive session)
- Friday, Feb. 28
- 8 a.m. CST – Finance and Administration Committee
- 10 a.m. CST – Winter meeting of the Board of Trustees
All meeting times are approximate. If a meeting ends earlier or later than expected, the next meeting may begin following a short break. All public meetings will be webcast live and archived for later viewing; a link to the webcast will be available at tennessee.edu.
Agenda items include, but are not limited to:
- President’s report
- Strategic Plan, UT Martin
- Revised FY 2024-25 operating budget
- FY 2025-26 state budget amendment request
- FY 2025-26 tuition levels at the UT Health Science Center
- Revised Audit and Compliance Committee charter
- 2025 internal audit plan and 2025 institutional compliance plan
- Policy on the use of artificial intelligence
- New academic programs, program modifications, and new academic units

Requests to address the board concerning items on the meeting agenda or other issues germane to the responsibilities of the board may be submitted using the registration form available at trustees.tennessee.edu/requests-to-address-the-board/. Requests will be accepted until 5 p.m. CST on Monday, Feb. 24. The board’s Standing Rule Governing Requests to Address the Board (also available at the above link) describes the procedures, terms and conditions that govern requests to address the board. The Board of Trustees will notify registrants whether they will be scheduled to speak at the meeting and, if so, the specific time and place of their presentations.
