Spring semester classes at the University of Tennessee at Martin will begin Thursday, Jan. 11, at the university’s main campus and five regional centers in Jackson, Parsons, Selmer, Ripley and Somerville and the new UT Martin location at Volunteer State Community College in Springfield, Tennessee. Current and new students can register for spring semester classes until Jan. 17, which is the final day to add classes.
Other important spring semester dates include:
• Jan. 5 – Spring Semester New Student Orientation (first-year and transfer students)
• Jan. 15 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day observed (university closed)
• Feb. 19 – Test Flight Academic Preview Day, Boling University Center, www.utm.edu/testflight
• March 25-31 – Spring Break (administrative offices remain open)
• March 29 – Spring Holiday (university closed)
• April 4-5 – Early registration begins for summer and fall 2024
• April 6 – Spring Preview Day, Boling University Center, www.utm.edu/preview
• April 26 – Spring Semester classes end
• April 29-May 3 – Final exams
• May 4 – Spring Commencement, Kathleen and Tom Elam Center
Summer Orientation and Registration dates are set for students entering the university in fall 2024. SOAR dates are May 20-21; June 7, 21, 25 (virtual session); July 12, 22; and Aug. 2. Transfer Orientation dates for 2024 are April 19, June 6 and 25 (virtual session), July 11 and Aug. 2.
