Live from the Tent

UT Martin co-hosts Northwest Tennessee Arts Festival

The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Music, in partnership with the Weakley County Schools and Weakley Arts Can, is hosting the Northwest Tennessee Arts Festival from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Saturday, April 10 at the tent near Pacer Pond.

The outdoor event was created to promote K-12 and higher education performances and visual arts throughout Northwest Tennessee. The festival will feature live performances in music, theatre and dance, as well as visual art exhibitions and the Weakley County Art Show Competition.

“The UTM Department of Music is very proud to partner with the Weakley County Schools and local arts organization Weakley Arts Can, whose leaders all recognize the significance of supporting the arts, in hosting the inaugural Northwest Tennessee Arts Festival,” said Dr. Julie Hill, Department of Music chair. “This is truly a collaborative effort with a mission to celebrate talented artists in our region while providing a safe and fun opportunity for arts enthusiasts to come out and support them.”

The festival is free and open to the public. Masks are required. Sodexo will have food and drinks available for purchase for $10 with cash or checks.
