MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Educational Outreach is offering an advanced digital photography class from 6-9 p.m., Tuesdays, Oct. 23-Nov. 13. The course is a follow-up to the basic class offered earlier this semester.
The four-week course, which includes 12 hours of both indoor and outdoor instruction, is open to anyone looking to improve his or her photography skills and does not require enrollment at the university. Participants are, however, encouraged to take “Digital Photography I” before enrolling in part two. The registration fee is $125, which does not include supplies. A tripod is required.
Dr. Tom Gallien, photography instructor and Martin dentist, will focus on artistic composition principles like color, contrast, black and white, night and low light, and macro-photography. Participants will use individual and group critiques to improve their skills.
